The Committee on Parliamentary Business is slated to convene a meeting this morning (April 20) under the chairmanship of Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena.
All leaders and members of political parties representing the parliament have been summoned to attend the meeting, - the first meeting convened after the Sinhala and Tamil New Year.
In the meantime, the first Parliamentary session after the festive season is due to be held on April 25.
Arrangements have been made for the submitted Anti-Terrorism Bill to be immersed in Parliament on that particular day; despite that, a final decision relevant to the matter will be made at the party leaders’ meeting today itself.
