Anusha Pelpita has been appointed as Secretary to the recently established Ministry of Economic Policies and Plan Implementation coming under Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa.
Pelpita, was appointed as the Chairman of Development Lotteries Board (DLB) prior to the above appointment after resigning from the post of Secretary to the Ministry of Industries seeking an early retirement.
A Sri Lanka Air Force Bell 212 helicopter belonging to the No. 72 squadron has crashed into the Madhuru Oya reservoir this morning, Air FOrce Media Spokesman Eranda Geeganage said.
