A licensed pistol along with many other items has been stolen from the residence of a businessman's residence in Bambalapitiya, Police said today.
The owner of the house was engaged in his business involving car sales at around noon yesterday (December 16) when his wife had called him stating that a thief had broken into the third floor of the house.
The robber had stolen a licensed pistol, a magazine with 12 bullets, Rs. 10 million and $6000 in cash and golden items worth more than Rs. 10 million.
The suspects have not been identified and the Bambalapitiya Police are conducting further investigations on the matter.
