A plastic pipe factory was destroyed in a sudden fire had occurred in a factory at Mamunuwa, the Wariyapola Police said today (March 31).
The Police acting upon information of a sudden fire at a plastic pipe factory in the evening yesterday, had controlled the fire using water bowsers of the Pradeshiya Sabha and the Kurunegala Disaster Management Centre.
Investigation has revealed that the fire had sparked off after a nearby shrub jungle was set on fire and it spread to the factory.
