Police are hunting for unidentified assailants who hacked a man to death inside a hotel in Kuliyapitiya last night (22).
Three persons who had drunk tea at a hotel located near the Kuliyapitiya Hospital had then been standing in front of it when two persons who had arrived on a motorbike attacked one among them with sharp weapons before fleeing.
The victim succumbed upon admission to the Kuliyapitiya Hospital. He was a 35-year-old resident of Dandagamuwa, Kuliyapitiya.
The motive for the murder and those behind it remain unidentified. Kuliyapitiya Police are investigating.
