Police today widened the search for a key suspect in the Ganemulla Sanjeewa murder inside a courtroom, by offering a reward for any information and by releasing more pictures of the suspect.
The move came after attempts to search for the suspect Pinpura Deawage Ishara Sewanndi has been futile for the past five days.
The Inspector General of Police Priyantha Weerasooriya has decided to offer a cash reward for any information about the suspect leading to her arrest.
The suspect was a key accomplice in the murder as she had posed off as a lawyer and smuggled the weapon into the courtroom to be used by the gunman.
The gunman and seven other suspects are already in custody.
Police called for public support to arrest the suspect who has been a resident of 243/01, Jaya Mawatha, Negombo road, Katuwelegama.
