Postal sector trade unions are protesting over the Post Master General Ruwan Sathkumara who has exposed corruption within the Department.
Mr Sathkumara over the weekend addressing an event, said that already some 400 audit queries are pending.
He said they may even have to close the Kelaniya post office, where its officers are facing audit issues.
But unions say that the PMG should be held responsible for the failure to stop corruption.
As an initial protest, they would be wearing blackbands on the World Postal Day, October 9.
