President Ranil Wickremesinghe presented the first batch of “Urumaya” land deeds to their respective recipients during a ceremony in Dambulla, the President’s Media Division (PMD) said.
The program is a component of President Wickremesinghe’s attempts to empower farmers through land ownership, with two million families receiving freehold rights, according to the PMD.
