The All Ceylon Union of Muslim League Youth Fronts has written to President Anura Kumara Dissanayake requesting him to appoint a member of the Muslim community to the Cabinet.
While conveying their best wishes to the President and his new Cabinet, the union has expressed concern that not a single Minister from the Muslim community has been appointed to the Cabinet. The letter states that this has deprived the Muslim community from conveying its opinions and recommendations to the Cabinet.
As such, the union requests the President to direct his attention to the matter and take steps accordingly.
