Showers or thundershowers are expected to occur at various times in various parts of the island.
Heavy showers above 100mm are to be expected in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Southern, Central and Uva Provinces.
The Met. Department requests the general public to take relevant precautionary measures to prevent potential dangers caused by strong winds and lightning.
