The Principal of St Anthony’s Girls' College Katugastota who is wanted in connection with the case of allegedly using forged documents for admission of students to intermediate classes is evading arrest by the Special Crimes Investigation Unit of Kandy.
She had been transferred to Kandy Education Office after the investigation by the Police. Her living quarters are at Gampola, but she had deserted the place and her whereabouts are not known.
In the meantime, she had submitted a medical certificate to the Education Department according to the department officials, where she is now seconded for service in the course of the Investigations.
This suspect Principal has not arrived for work at the Department as well.
Kandy Police are searching for the suspect Principal.
In the meantime, Education officials who had sent a charge sheet for a domestic inquiry had received a reply from her husband, claiming that she is mentally sick and cannot answer the charge sheet.
