Investigations are underway into the deadly gas explosion and fire at a fuel station in Wehera, Kurunegala that left four persons dead and at least four others injured.
The incident had occurred last night as workers at the fuel station were refilling a gask tank of a lorry. The gas tank had exploded, killing four persons and injuring four others. The injured were admitted to the Kurunegala Hospital.
The fire was doused by the combined efforts of the Kurunegala Municipal Fire Brigade and the Kurunegala Police.
