Two different groups staged a protest in front of the UN office in Colombo today expressing solidarity with Palestinian people in Gaza who are facing the brunt of the ongoing war waged by Israel following the surprise attack by Hamas militants last week.
Protesters held placards that read: "Free Free Palestine", "Stop state terrorism of Israel", "Stop genocide Palestinians" etc. Police and STF personnel were deployed on the premises as part of security measures. (Pix by Indika Handuwala)
