A special public holiday has been declared for tomorrow, the Public Administration Ministry has announced.
However it will not apply for staff managing essential services.
The Colombo–Kandy main road at Pahala Kadugannawa has been closed indefinitely after a deadly rockfall in the area that left six people dead and four others injured.
