All public servants are instructed to report to duty as usual from next Monday (August 2) onwards while adhering to Covid-19 Health Guidelines, according to the Presidential Secretariat.
Accordingly, Secretary to the President P.B. Jayasundera has informed the Secretary to the Ministry of Public Services, Provincial Councils, and Local Government, J.J. Rathnasiri that all state staff should report to work from Monday as usual and all circulars regarding the Working From Home (WFH) mode will be revoked.
The decision came in the wake of Principal Advisor to President Lalith Weeratunga said yesterday that the vaccination of all citizens over the age of 30 would be completed by September 15th.
He also added that the plans have been made to vaccinate all between the age group of 18-30 and will be implemented as soon as the recommendations of the World Health Organization are received.
