The Meteorology Department said that they are expecting an increase of the rains from friday onwards.
The Director General of the Department, Athula Karunanayake explained that there is a disturbance is expected at Bay of Bengal therefore though there would not be a direct impact rains could occur as a result of it.
According to him the rainy condition would persist from November 14th to 25th.
Mr Karunanayake added that Sri Lanka normally would experience rainfall due to the antimonsoon condition prevailing period but the atmospheric developments such as disturbances, depressions and deep depressions could cause the intensity of rains to increase.
