Several areas of Western and Sabaragamuwa Provinces, as well as Kandy, Galle, and Matara Districts will have showers or thundershowers after 1:00 pm today (11), the Department of Meteorology said.
Present wet weather conditions in the Northern, North-central, Uva and Eastern Provinces are predicted to decrease from today after days of heavy rainfall triggering major flooding and earth-slips.
Occasional showers and thundershowers are expected in Eastern and Uva Provinces along with Hambantota, Polonnaruwa, Matale and Nuwara Eliya Districts.
Parts of Uva Province besides Polonnaruwa and Matale Districts will see fairly heavy rainfall over 50mm.
