Showers or thundershowers are most likely to come to pass in parts of Sabaragamuwa, Central, Uva, Southern, North-central provinces and at a few places in the island during the day and night, says the Department of Meteorology.
Showers are to crop up in the Western and North-western provinces and in Galle and Matara districts during the morning.
In the meantime, the general public is advised to take adequate preventative measures to ensure safety of themselves from damages within reach triggered by strong gusts and lightning during thundershowers.
Showers or thundershowers will occur at a few places in the marine area around the island.
Winds will be either south-easterly or inconstant in direction and may strike at 20-30 KMPH.
The maritime zones around the island will remain moderate although temporary strong and very turbulent waters may turn up during thundershowers transiently.
