Showers or thundershowers are forecasted for certain areas in Sabaragamuwa Province and in Kalutara, Galle and Matara Districts after 2:00 p.m. today, the Department of Meteorology said.
Northern, Eastern and North-central Provinces will also see a few showers.
Occasional high winds of 30-40 KMPH are expected on the eastern slopes of the central hills.
Parts of Sabaragamuwa, Central and Western Provinces besides Galle and Matara Districts will have misty mornings.
The public is urged to take preventives to reduce harm that can be caused by heavy winds and lightning during thunderstorms.
