Opposition MP Ranjan Ramanayake is banned from having visitors for fourteen days after accepting that he assisted MP Harshana Rajakaruna to take a selfie with him, a senior official from the Department of Prisons said.
Earlier a jailor attached to Angunakolapelessa Prison has been interdicted with immediate effect for allowing Opposition MP Harshana Rajakaruna to take a selfie with Parliamentarian Ranjan Ramanayake who is currently serving jail term over contempt of court charges.
According to the official, the visiting MP was allowed to take his mobile phone inside the prison when he met Mr Ramanayake.
