Former Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake and nine others were released from 11 charges in the case filed against them over the Central Bank bond scam.
However, 11 charges still remain against them.
The case against them was earlier taken before the High court Trial-at-bar with the bench consisting of Amal Ranaraja, Namal Balalle and Aditiya Patabendi today.
High Court judge Aditya Patabendige delivering the order said 11 of the charges cannot be pursued.
In addition to Mr Karunayake, charges were filed against the Perpetual Treasuries Private Ltd (PTL) , former Central Bank Governor Arjuna Mahendran, PTL owner Arjun Aloysius, PTL Chief dealer Kasun Palisena, Chairman of PTL Jeffrey Joseph Aloysius, Chitta Ranjan Hulugalle, Muthuraja Surendran, Gardiye Punchihewa and Badugoda Hewa Indika Saman Kumara.
