Revision of Electricity Tariff every three months: Minister

Cabinet Spokesman Minister Bandula Gunewardene announced today that the Electricity Tariff revision will take place every three months instead of the current revision followed every of six months.

Customs seize Rs. 119 Mn worth of cigarettes and whisky hidden in furniture shipment

In a major detection at the Ceylon Shipping Lines (CSL) warehouse in Colombo 09, Sri Lanka Customs officers uncovered a large consignment of contraband cigarettes and whisky concealed within a shipment declared as household furniture and personal goods.
