Four youths were killed when two motorbikes collided in Mudamavadi, Nallur, Jaffna last night. Police said that speeding motorbikes caught fire following the head-on collision at 10.30 pm.
Another person who was injured in the accident is currently admitted to Jaffna Teaching hospital. The assistance of the Fire Service department was also obtained to douse the fire on the accident spot.
The bodies of the victims were recovered by Kopay police and handed over to Jaffna Teaching hospital. Further investigations over the incident are currently underway. (Pix by N. Lohathayalan)
