Transport and Highways Minister Bandula Gunawardena today said that the outstanding bills for road construction projects will be paid before the Sinhala and Tamil New year.
Minister Gunawardena told Parliament that some of the members have already committed suicide due to the delay in paying the outstanding bills.
Minister Gunawardena said that there was no necessity for the persons to call over at the Ministry to collect the outstandings and the money will be directly sent to their accounts.
