The Samagi Jana Blawegaya (SJB) had handed over a proposal against MP Ali Sabry Raheem who illegally smuggled three kilos of gold and several mobile phones worth over 70 million rupees to the speaker of the parliament.
According to the document handed over a proposal was made urging to take strict action to stop the parliament member from continuing to carry out illegal activities while using parliamentary privileges as a scapegoat.
The letter also stated that the minister also has to use parliamentary privileges and diplomatic passport to smuggle the gold via the VIP terminal, therefore the respective MP has violated the code of conduct of members of the parliament which was approved by the parliament on March 07, 2018.
