Sri Lanka navy has kept 36 relief teams on stand by to extend relief measures to people in view of the adverse weather condition.
The navy said that this move is taken according to the directives of Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Nishantha Ulugetenne.
The Western Naval Command has sent 02 relief and rescue teams to Rathnapura while 04 teams to Kalutara. Apart from that 21 more relief and rescue teams in the Western Naval Command and 09 similar teams in the Southern Naval Command too have been kept ready for swift deployment if needed.
