For the third successive month in 2023, Sri Lanka has recorded over 100,000 tourist arrivals, Minister of Tourism and Lands Harin Fernando said.
As reported by the legislature, the total number of tourist arrivals for the month of March held sway at 125,495.
The Minister further stated that Russia, India and the United Kingdom have come forth as the top three countries that recorded the most tourist arrivals in March 2023.
In January and February of 2023, tourist arrivals shot up to 102,545 and 107,639 respectively in contrast to 91,961 accounted for in December 2022.
In the course of these two months, Germany, France and Australia too were in the midst of the countries for tourist arrivals besides Russia, India and the United Kingdom.
