Update: 40 MPs including those from Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) who decided to remain independent in Parliament, in consideration of the crisis situation have agreed after a detailed discussion to meet only with the President for a scheduled meeting tomorrow, the General Secretary of the party Dayasiri Jayasekara said.
The Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) is to take a decision today (28) on whether to take part in the all party conference to be held tomorrow while two of their members are holding state ministry positions.
SLFP General Secretary Dayasiri Jayasekara told Times online that the party leadership would decide this evening whether they could attend the Friday all party conference while Shantha Bandara and Suren Raghawan are holding state ministry positions.
The President on Wednesday had invited all parities in the parliament to unite and form an all party government.
