A team from the Special Task Force (STF) has recovered 29,000 kilograms of refused tea at a warehouse situated in Kotugoda, Seeduwa, police said.
“Seven people have been arrested. The perpetrators were attempting to send the tea to a Middle Eastern country,” said police spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana.
Further investigation is conducted by Seeduwa police and the STF.
