The Education Ministry has been given the approval to resume normal academic activities from Grade 1 to 13 in schools from Monday (10).
The Director General of Health Dr. Asela Gunewardena has informed Education Ministry Secretary Prof. Kapila Gunewardena that schools will be able to fully function with all students attending classes.
Due to the pandemic threat classes were conducted in groups limiting the number of students in a class at a given time.
However, school administration will be instructed to ensure that students, teachers and parents strictly adhere to health guidelines.
