Self-proclaimed “Awalokitheshwara” to be produced in courts
Self-proclaimed “Awalokitheshwara” Mahinda Kodituwakku was arrested in Pannipitiya earlier today and is due to be produced in courts.
Police Media Spokesman SSP Nihal Thalduwa said that he was arrested by the Police Computer Crimes Division.
He faces allegations of making distorted statements about Buddhism.

All bilateral loans postponed until 2028; President
In his special statement, President Ranil Wickremesinghe announced that debt restructuring agreements will postpone all bilateral loan payments to foreign countries until 2028. Additionally, Sri Lanka will have until 2043 to repay these loans on concessional terms.
