The Attorney General’s Department has interdicted Senior State Counsel (SSC) Shaminda Wickrema.
SSC Wickrema has been interdicted on charges of disobeying the orders of his superiors. The officer has more than 20 years of service at the AG’s Department.
The Sunday Times understands that the Public Service Commission has approved the interdiction of the officer.
SSC Wickrema has also lodged two complaints regarding several matters with the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption and the Keselwatta Police.
The AG’s Department is due to hold an inquiry on SSC Wickrema regarding the charges against him.
