Seven senior DIGs, 5 DIGs, 29 SSPs, 21 ASPs including two women ASPs are transferred based on service requirements.
The Senior DIGs transferred are Senior DIG D.G.N. Jayawardena from DIG in charge of Supporting Service to DIG Administration, Senior DIG W.L.S. Priyantha Weerasuriya from DIG in charge of Northern Province to DIG in charge of Central Province, Senior DIG P.P.S.M. Dharmaratne from DIG in charge of Central Province to DIG in charge of Sabaragamuwa Province, Senior DIG C. Medawatta from the National Police Academy to DIG in charge of Supporting Service, Senior DIG W.K. Jayalath from DIG in charge of North Western Province to DIG in charge of Eastern Province, Senior DIG M.D.R.S. Daminda from DIG in charge of Eastern Province to DIG in charge of North Western Province and Acting Senior DIG K.P.M. Gunaratne changed from DIG in charge of covering duties in Sabaragamuwa Province to DIG in charge of covering duties in Northern Province.
The 29 SSPs transferred included six performing duties in the post of DIG, and transfers for the 17 and 6 Acting SSPs.
13 SPs are to perform duties in the post of SSP, while another 8 SPs were transferred.
