The Department of Meteorology forecasts several spells of showers in the Northern and Eastern provinces today (04).
Evening or night-time showers or thundershowers are expected in a few areas of the Central, North-Western, North-Central, and Uva provinces.
Elsewhere, mainly fair weather will prevail, with misty mornings likely across most parts of the island.
Sea conditions around the island will remain calm, the Met. department added.
