The prevailing showery condition over the island is expected to reduce to some extent, the Department of Meteorology stated.
Several spells of Showers will occur in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, North-Western and Northern provinces and in Galle and Matara districts today (25).
Showers or thundershowers may occur at several places in Uva, Eastern and North-Central provinces during the afternoon or night.
The general requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers, the Met Department added.
