Police have arrested six suspects who allegedly forcibly entered a house in Ratmalana on Sunday night (7), assaulted the inmates, caused damage to property and fled after robbing Rs. 43, 000.
Based on a police complaint, the Mount Lavinia Crime Investigation Division conducted a raid and arrested six suspects along with 11.6 grams of heroin and a locally manufactured live hand grenade.
The suspects are aged between 21 and 40 years and are residents of Ratmalana, Mount Lavinia and Moratuwa.
The suspects are due to be produced before the Mount Lavinia Magistrate's Court today.
