A contract of six months with the State Development and Design Statutory Corporation for the completion of the overhead pedestrian walkways of the Bambalapitiya and Wellawatta railway station was approved by the Cabinet yesterday (6).
The dilapidated state of the pedestrian walkways of the Bambalapitiya and Wellawatta railway stations was brought to the attention of many in the past weeks.
The proposal was submitted by Minister of Transport and Highways Bandula Gunawardane.
