Sixteen Ambassadors to conclude assignments by December

News

Sixteen (16) of the 17 ambassadors appointed by the Gotabaya Rajapaksa and Ranil Wickremesinghe presidencies are to have their assignments concluded by December.

The exception is Sri Lanka’s Ambassador to USA Mahinda Samarasinghe who has been asked to remain in his post.

The countries where the envoys serve are UK, India, Australia, Japan, Iran, Pakistan, Nepal, UAE, Qatar, Seychelles, Malaysia, Kenya, Maldives, Indonesia, Cuba and the UN in New York.
