Colombo and suburbs will experience a 16-hour water cut starting from Saturday (08) 8.00 am, the National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWSDB) said.
Colombo, Dehiwala-Mount Lavinia, Kotte and Kaduwela Municipal Councils, Maharagama, Boralesgamuwa, Kolonnawa Urban Councils and Mulleriyawa-Kotikawatte Pradeshiya Sabha as well as Ratmalana will experience the water cut.
The Water Board cited urgent repairs at the Ambatale water treatment plant as the reason for the 16-hour water cut.
