A 36 year old man who broke into the premises of his mother and got away a lorry containing 648 gas cylinders over a family dispute has been arrested by the Nelunkulam Police in Vavuniya.
The man had broken into the premises and driven away with the lorry when his mother was not in the house.
He was in dispute with his mother over the distribution of land among family members
The man was due to transport the gas cylinders to another location when the police made the detection. He had taken the lorry to his own house.
The estimated value of the gas and the lorry has been estimated at Rs 20 million.
