A South African national who arrived from Nairobi was arrested today (9) at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) with over 2 kilograms of cocaine. The passenger arrived in the island on a Qatar Airway flight this morning.
The street value of the contraband is over Rs 60 million.
The cocaine was hidden in two shampoo bottles.
