The Indian budget carrier SpiceJet, which suspended flights to Sri Lanka today, commenced flight services between Madurai in India and Colombo today (August 20).
In the inaugural flight, 30 passengers with a crew of four arrived at Bandaranaike International Airport. Fifty passengers were due to fly back.
The airline will operate six days a week, excluding Wednesday.
The flights will arrive daily at 2.25 PM and return at 3.10 PM.
