Sri Lanka defeated Bangladesh by two wickets to gain a place in the super four of the Asia Cup played at the Dubai International Stadium today.
Sri Lanka reached the target with four balls to spare despite losing captain Dasun Shanka who scored 45 in 33 balls and Chamika Karunaratna who scored 16 and 10 balls in the 18th and 19th overs respectively.
It was debutant Asitha Fernando who scored 10 in three balls who ended the game though the winning run came through a no-ball.
