A thirteen-year-old student was killed and over 20 others were injured when a bus collided with a train in Thalaimannar today (16) afternoon, Police said.
The bus was carrying 30 passengers of which 20 were school children.
Police are investigating whether it was the negligence of the driver and conductor or whether the gate was not closed at the time of the accident.
The driver and the conductor have been placed under police custody.
