A student playing cricket at Cambridge School grounds in Kotagala died in a freak accident, Police said today.
A student named Sivakumar Nathees (age – 18) from Thalawakkalai, Great Weston estate was trying to take a catch when he slipped and fell and hit the school building, sustaining head injuries. He succumbed to the injuries on October 4.
He was playing cricket with fellow students during school break time.
He was admitted to the Dikoya hospital and died while being transferred to the Kandy hospital.
