Susil Premajayantha appointed Leader of the House
Minister Susil Premajayantha has been appointed as the new Leader of the House. He replaces Dinesh Gunawardena, who was appointed Prime Minister recently.
Meanwhile, Minister Prasanna Ranatunga has been reappointed as the Chief Government Whip.
Parliament is due to convene at 10.00am today to debate the proclamation of the state of emergency issued by then Acting President Ranil Wickremesinghe.
