Swearing in of the new Cabinet has commenced at the Presidential Secretariat.
Dr Harini Amarasuriya was sworn in as the Prime Minister and the Minister of Education, Higher Education and Vocational Education.

Saroja Savithri Paul Raj: Women and Child Affairs
K.D. Lal Kantha: Agriculture, Livestock, Irrigation and Land.
Anura Karunatilake: Urban Development, Construction and Housing
Ramalingam Chandrasekar: Minister of Fisheries, Aquatic and Ocean Resources
Prof Upali Pannilage: Rural Development, Social Security and Community Empowerment
Sunil Handunnetti : Industries and Entrepreneurship development
Ananda Wijepala : Public Security and Parliamentary Affairs
Bimal Ratnayake: Transport, Highways, Ports and Civil Aviation
Prof Sunil Senevi: Buddhasasana, Religious and Cultural Affairs
Dr Nalinda Jayatissa : Health and Media
Samantha Vidyaratna: Plantations and Community Infrastructure
