Three Indian nationals have been taken into custody by the Sri Lanka Navy with 92 kilograms of Hashish in their possession.
The suspects and their dhow were taken into custody off the seas of Talaimannar today (5).
The drugs were in 95 packages which had been found in three sacks concealed in the dhow.
The gross street value of the stock of hashish is believed to be over Rs. 92 million, the Navy said.
The suspects together with drugs and the dhow were handed over to the Talaimannar Police for onward legal proceedings.
