Three persons who were arrested over security threats to Israeli nationals are currently being further interrogated under detention orders, Police Spokesman DIG Nihal Thalduwa said.
He said the three persons were arrested during different periods and they were in the process of obtaining information from them which needs to be verified.
He said security has been stepped up in the tourist destinations and police in civvies also have been deployed in the area to carryout checks.
DIG Thalduwa said instructions have also gone out to hotels to step up security measures.
Police has informed the hoteliers to provide information in the event of Israeli nationals staying with them inorder to provide extra security for them.
