Three Sri Lankans smuggling over three kilograms of Hashish and Kush narcotics, concealed with biscuits and chips were nabbed at the Bandaranaike International Airport while returning from Bangkok today morning, Customs officials said.
The three of them trying to pass the Customs inspection point were checked on suspicion when the drugs were detected.
The street value of the narcotics was estimated to be Rs 45 million.
They were in possession of 1.6 Kgs of Kush and 1.7 Kgs of Hashish.
Two suspects were from Colombo while the third was from Badulla.
The three suspects were handed over to the Police Narcotics Bureau (PNB) for further investigations.
